GETTING STARTED & FAQs
Straightforward answers about choosing, wearing, and caring for your hair system.
New to hair systems? Start here for the basics and what to expect.
I've never worn a hairpiece before. Where do I start?
You can start with a private, confidential consultation. We'll talk about your needs, preferences, hairstyle, color, and the options available to you. There's no obligation to purchase.
Do you work with both men and women?
Yes. We provide hairpieces and full-cap wigs for both men and women.
What's the difference between ready-made and custom systems?
Ready-made, or stock, hairpieces come in available styles, colors, sizes, and base materials. Custom hairpieces are made to your specifications. We'll help you compare the options.
Can you help me choose the right base material?
Yes. Different base materials offer different combinations of appearance, durability, breathability, and maintenance. We can explain the differences and help you choose based on your needs.
Learn how a hair system can look natural and what options are available.
Can a hairpiece look natural?
A well-selected system can create a natural appearance. Color, density, hair direction, base material, and the way it is fitted and styled all contribute to the result.
What is a natural frontal hairline?
A natural frontal hairline generally has slightly less density at the front than the rest of the hairpiece. This can create a softer, more natural-looking hairline with certain hairstyles.
What is a base-covering hairline?
With a base-covering hairline, the hair at the front has enough density to cover the edge of the base, with the hair generally falling slightly forward.
What is baby hair?
Baby hair is fine, short hair placed along the front hairline to help create a softer, more natural appearance.
What does "under knot" or "underventing" mean?
These terms refer to hair being ventilated so that it comes from underneath the base and helps conceal the edge of the hairpiece.

Can I sleep, shower, and swim in my hairpiece?
Many systems can be worn during these activities, depending on the system and attachment method. We'll explain what suits your system and how those activities affect care and maintenance.
How is a hairpiece attached?
Attachment options include adhesive, tape, and clips. The method depends on your system, preferences, and lifestyle.
How often does a hairpiece need maintenance?
Maintenance depends on the hairpiece, attachment method, lifestyle, and individual needs. We can discuss a maintenance schedule that works for you.

How long does a custom order take?
Allow 10–12 weeks for a custom order. Rush service may be available for an additional charge; we'll discuss timing before you order.
Are ready-made systems available sooner?
Ready-made systems generally take 1–4 weeks, depending on the style, color, size, and base you need. We'll confirm availability when discussing your order.
Can you match my existing hair color?
Yes. We can use your hair samples to determine the appropriate color, including gray and highlights.
Can you duplicate my existing hairpiece?
Yes. You can send us your existing hairpiece, and we can use it as a reference for a duplicate. You can also request changes to the base material, hairstyle, density, or other specifications.
Can a custom hairpiece be made in different densities?
Yes. Custom hairpieces can be ordered in different densities, depending on the specifications and base selected.
